Alexander Auyeung Earns Academic Honors at Carleton College

2016 May 31

At the end of every academic year, the Carleton community gathers at Honors Convocation to recognize faculty and students for their accomplishments and service. Alexander Auyeung, a senior from Chicago, Ill., was elected to the Mortar Board honor society and the Sigma Xi honor society.

The Mortar Board national honor society recognizes students who have combined distinguished scholarship, leadership, and service to their colleagues and the College community. Election to the Carleton Chapter of Sigma Xi, a national honor society, indicates that a student has demonstrated evidence of research potential in a field of pure or applied science.

Founded in 1866, Carleton College is a national top 10, private liberal arts college in the historic river town of Northfield, Minnesota, 45 miles south of Minneapolis/Saint Paul.
