Ambrin Ling Earns Academic Honors at Carleton College

At the end of every academic year, the Carleton community gathers at Honors Convocation to recognize faculty and students for their accomplishments and service. Ambrin Ling, a senior from Libertyville, Ill., was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honorary scholastic fraternity.

The Phi Beta Kappa national honorary scholastic fraternity was founded in 1776. The Carleton chapter was established in 1913 and elects its membership from students who rank in the highest 15 percent of their graduating class and meet other prescribed criteria.

Founded in 1866, Carleton College is a national top 10, private liberal arts college in the historic river town of Northfield, Minnesota, 45 miles south of Minneapolis/Saint Paul.
