Douglas Totten Member of Carleton College Chinese Music Ensemble

Douglas Totten (Hanover, Ind./Shawe Memorial Junior And Senior High School) is a member of the Carleton College Chinese Music Ensemble for the 2015-2016 academic year. Totten is a senior and plays guitar in the ensemble.

The Carleton Chinese Music Ensemble, under the direction of world-class Pipa artist, Gao Hong, was established in 2004 and has since performed to much acclaim at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the Mall of America, the University of Minnesota, and numerous conferences and Chinese celebrations throughout the region. Last year, four members of the ensemble were honored at the Huain Cup International Chinese Instrument Competition at the Le Petit Trianon Theatre in San Jose, Calif.
