Elliott Johnson Earns Academic Honors at Carleton College

Elliott Johnson, of San Ramon, CA, has been elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honorary scholastic fraternity and the Sigma Xi honor society. The Phi Beta Kappa honorary scholastic fraternity was founded in 1776. The Carleton chapter was established in 1913 and elects its memberships from students who rank in the highest 15 percent of their graduating class and meet other prescribed criteria. Election to the Carleton Chapter of Sigma Xi indicates that a student has demonstrated evidence of research potential in a field of pure or applied science. Johnson is the son of Ransom Johnson and Jana Lu Johnson and is a graduate of California High School.
