Fritzell lands Weitz Fellowships with Opera Omaha for 2015-16

2015 Oct 6

Stella Fritzell, a 2015 graduate of Carleton College, is participating in the Weitz Fellows Program during the 2015-16 school year.

Fritzell's fellowship is with Opera Omaha, , is focused on arts management, specifically with social media and marketing to younger audiences.

The fellowship provides one-year jobs for seven Carleton 2015 grads at nonprofit organizations in Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska. Positions are paid, include benefits and funding for professional development, and will provide exposure to all aspects of the organization. This is an unmatched opportunity for anyone interested in beginning a career in arts management, non-profit management, or social change. In addition, these are great opportunities for all students, including those with a pre-law or pre-med focus. The positions provide a year to explore how to use liberal arts and discipline-specific skills and expertise in a variety of settings, as well as encouraging future involvement in non-profit ventures wherever the student's career takes them.

Fritzell earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton this past June in Music, Classical Studies.
