George McAneny Earns All-MIAC Honors

George McAneny (So./Santa Cruz, Calif./Santa Cruz High School) earned all-conference honors in two events at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Swimming and Diving Championships, held February 13-15.

McAneny received All-MIAC honors for his performances in the 200-yard freestyle relay, and 400-yard freestyle relay. Along with his all-conference performances, McAneny's 46.77 finish in the 100-yard freestyle consolation final was good for eighth best in team history. Additionally, McAneny's notched NCAA "B" cut times in the 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay, putting him in consideration for selection to the NCAA championships a month from now in Indianapolis.

The Knights, coached by Andy Clark, finished third in the team standings with 536 points.
