Kaopua Nani O Sutton, a resident of Hilo, Hawaii, is a member of the Carleton women's outdoor track and field team for the 2013 season. Sutton is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools Hawaii and is currently a junior at Carleton.

Carleton is coached by Donna Ricks, who is in her 19th season as the Knights' head coach. Carleton is a member of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) and NCAA Division III. The Knights placed 10th in the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
