Stella Fritzell Graduates from Carleton College

Stella Fritzell of Ames, IA (50014) graduated, Magna Cum Laude, with a BA in Classics and Music from Carleton College at its 141st Commencement exercises, held on Saturday, June 13.

Fritzell is the Daughter of Susan and Peter Fritzell of Ames.

Two senior students spoke at the ceremony. Sam Braslow, an English major from Los Angeles, presented a speech entitled "Leaving," and Anna Donnella, an English major from St. Davids, Penn., delivered a speech entitled, Arriving."

Carleton also presented an honorary degree during the commencement ceremony to Peter Schjeldahl, Carleton Class of 1964, poet and staff writer and art critic of The New Yorker magazine. Schjeldahl briefly addressed the graduating class, as did Carleton College's eleventh president Steven Poskanzer.
