William Grimm Graduates from Carleton College

William Grimm of Hinsdale, IL (60521) graduated, Magna Cum Laude, with a BA in Geology from Carleton College at its 141st Commencement exercises, held on Saturday, June 13.

Grimm is the Son of Jane and William Grimm of Hinsdale.

Two senior students spoke at the ceremony. Sam Braslow, an English major from Los Angeles, presented a speech entitled "Leaving," and Anna Donnella, an English major from St. Davids, Penn., delivered a speech entitled, Arriving."

Carleton also presented an honorary degree during the commencement ceremony to Peter Schjeldahl, Carleton Class of 1964, poet and staff writer and art critic of The New Yorker magazine. Schjeldahl briefly addressed the graduating class, as did Carleton College's eleventh president Steven Poskanzer.
